alice.hatter - shoes by briannacherrygarcia alice.hatter - shoes by briannacherrygarcia
My second shoe project, Alice and Reginald (the Mad Hatter).

The same as my first pair [link] , they were done on plain canvas Vans. These took much longer than the first set, only because I put a lot more detail into them.

I also inlcuded a photo of my friend who requested them from me because the whole shoe art thing was his idea in the first place. The shoes include all his favorite characters. Behind Hatter is the tea party, on the sides are the oysters, and on the back is Bill. Alice is in Tulgey Wood, with the hammerhead and pencil birds and the Cheshire Cat behind her and some tulips from the flower garden. On the sides are the Queen's rose garden and the corridor that Alice followed the White Rabbit into, and on the back is the King of Hearts (hooray!).

EDIT: Again, do NOT ask for a pair of shoes for yourself please! They are for my personal friends only! And I have not found a way to seal them yet, although I have received HUNDREDS of suggestions so I'm still looking into it.

Done with Prisma markers and Sakura Microperm pens

Hi! i love these shoes!
I was wondering,
how did you start them off? did you just draw on the shoes with pencil or did you have to add a base coat of white?
thanks!

Drew everything in pencil right on the shoe, then colored them in with markers.

I really hope you manage to find a way to seal these because I think the idea could take off. Really amazing work, as I said over on the Peter Pan picture...

These are gorgeous! Your friends are so lucky to get shoes you've embellished. Vans should hire you to make designs to sell at Disneyland. I'd buy every pair.

PLEASE tell me, is it easy to do this kind of thing? Do you trace a rough outline onto the shoe first and with what?? I'm looking into doing a pair of Avengers Converse high tops but don't know where to start. your shoes are amazing!Help is appreciated ^^
