Continuing the series, Ariel as a (sea) gargoyle. Before the Gathering convention, not much was known about mer-goyles so I didn't have much to go on. Later Greg Weisman revealed that they would have a lower half similar to a dolphin, and perhaps wings like manta rays. I didn't know this at the time so I simply went with what fans had talked about.

Ariel does have legs, but no wings. I gave her webbed arms and feet, and went with a kinda tropical fish color scheme. She also has gills in her neck. A lot of her design is inaccurate to Gargoyle canon, but I still like it.

Edit: Sigh, looking back on this I'm annoyed at myself with how I drew her spine...I guess just attest it to the fact she's a sea creature. Or that I made a poor anatomy choice. Whichever.

That tail should give her plenty of propulsive power, and if she is a 'changable' Eric will probably fall for her anyway!
