I'm so sorry this took me forever!! So here it is, my sketchbook filled with 32 pages of art and drawings from my comic When Curiosity Met Insanity! So um....Lady Gaga just shared my Smile For The Camera piece on her facebook AND her twitter. After the initial shock, I have to say I'm honored! From the look of it, a fan altered my work and sent her copy. While I'm a bit irked that no credit was given initially, I'm happy that she liked it enough to share with everyone. I'm also happy to see that people are directing credit back here to me, that really means a lot to me. If people want to continue crediting me in the comments on her facebook, I would be most grateful. Thanks guys!

And thank YOU to Lady Gaga, this is some crazy publicity. If you happen to drop by here on my gallery, just wanna say how much I love you.

So a good friend of mine, Jason Fader, is starting up a new Steampunk-inspired free-to-play game called Steam Bandits, and set up a Kickstarter account to help get it in motion! And I'm here to shamelessly promote the hell out of it because that's what friends do.

Jason is a producer who came from Obsidian Entertainment with years of experience in the video game industry so this guy knows what he's doing. He's also enlisted me as a concept artist for his team, so if we can get this project going it means more steady work for everyone. Woohoo!

Actually this year is probably going to be pretty quiet for me. I'm planning to share some booth time on Thursday with a friend, I should be at the GeekdomWear booth that day (B-02 according to the con map) where I'll be selling prints and sketchbooks. The rest of the weekend I'll just be wandering around. I think I'll just be bringing my Mara Jade costume this year, and with any luck I should have a Luke with me. Heck, I haven't even looked at the program guide yet!

Holy crap, thank you so much for all the birthday wishes! I read through them all and there were so many of them that the word "birthday" stopped looking like a real word. But seriously all of you are so kind, thank you! Only a couple more years now until I hit the big 3-0.  And now I'm off to go see The Avengers midnight screening to celebrate.

So lately I've been doing a lot of sketch commissions over at my livejournal. Finally posted my trip report from Comic-Con 2011.  I also signed up for Artists' Alley next year, but they did tell me my chances of getting in are pretty low, being a noob and all.  All I can do is hope.  But anyway here's my report and all my photos!

So Jenny aka ~Rain27 (my co-author for WCMI) is having an auction over at her LJ, of a hand-crafted Native Americam-inspired ceremonial basket that she made herself.   

"This basket was made using 99% natural materials and tools - the sewing was even done using a sharpened antler sliver or a porcupine quill as a needle. The basket's base is made of flexible willow tree branches that I cut myself (using a flint blade) and bent into the bowl and handle shapes for the base and tied together with split lengths of willow bark. Once it was together I let it dry in the hot sun all summer long and that locked the basket into a sturdy, stable base."
