The Powerful Gimp Tool That You May Not Be UsingHey guys, I wanted to chat a bit about a very cool tool that I don't think is used enough, especially in the realm of photomanipulation. Of course, I'm talking about Layer Masks. A layer mask allows you to dynamically change what parts of a layer are visible, and not visible by using a grayscale image parallel to your layer. I use layer masks constantly, but that doesn't mean I don't use the eraser tool too. With some proper planning, it's amazing what you can do with these things.

I am specialized in children book and game illustrations, I can draw any kind of animals (anthro or not), scenery (vehicles as well).
My gallery doesn't have enough variety so don't be afraid to ask something that's not common in there.
My weak point is human characters. They take more time for me to draw and they may not look as good as an animal chatacter I draw. So any picture of a human character make the price higher.

I do not draw hate art, violence and sexual content.
Prices are in USA dollars, I accept payment through PayPal. Any other way of paying (dA points, FaceBook credits etc.) are not accepted.

100-topic challengeWell, I've decided that I at least want to make a try to do this challenge, although it will take me forever. :S Anyway, it'll be here as a list of inspiration.

The point of this challenge is to test and improve your skill as an artist. After 100 pictures, who wouldn’t be better?
The rules:
1) Make 100 pieces each one having a theme listed below. Only one theme per piece!
2) No time limit so have fun!
3) Pieces should be of own artistic ability. You may not edit photos, or break any other rules set out in the DA etiquette policy. Your pieces can be anything from sketches and doodles to great masterpieces. Just have fun with it.
4) The list below is to be placed somewhere in your journal for others to see that...
a) You are in the challenge
b) What you have completed
5) Make sure to update this list with a link to your deviation.

GROUP RULES - PLEASE READ!!!From today I have removed the "Looney Tunes" folder. The only Looney Tunes pics that are allowed will be:
1. One's directly connected to TTA (for example http://boscoloandrea.deviantart.com/art/Teaching-Staff-344153535?q=gallery%3Atiny-toon-adventures%2F24395036&qo=1 ) which will go in the Misc. folder.
2. Tiny Toons must be with the Looney Tunes (for example http://tiny-toon-adventures.deviantart.com/art/Beep-Beep-319012139 ) which goes in the Tiny Toon With Other Characters in the Show folder. This means it must be Looney Tunes that appeared in the show. So that means if it is a pic of Babs with Lola it doesn't go in the Tiny Toon With Other Characters in the Show it goes in the Babs Bunny folder.
Here are examples:
1.

This pic would go in the Arnold the Pitbull folder. Why? Because Arnold is on his own with no other Tiny Toon related character.

Tom Bancroft Webinar is up!- for a short time.The webinar I did live last night is up on the AnimSchool website archive and you can watch it! Inking Folder, and...Colored Work Being Removed!?Was your Coloring Taken Down For Permission Issues?
Heads up, colorists!
First off, I've got your messages about deviantArt's policy violations team taking down your colored work citing permission issues. Unfortunately, I do not have any jurisdiction over the actions or policies of the PVA team, so I cannot do a whole lot on my end to change any existing policies they may be enforcing. However, I have sent an inquiry to the deviantArt admins requesting any advice or avenues we as a club can follow to ensure our own collaborative efforts fall within deviantArt's policies. I'll keep you all posted with any information they can provide.
In the meantime, the best advice I can give is to plaster the ever living Hades out of your image descriptions with credits and assertions of permission. Remember, when a line artist submits their work to the #color-me-club, they are automatically giving permission to anybody to color it (it

Jason SpisakFor those of my watchers unfamiliar with Green Lantern: The Animated Series and Young Justice, Jason Spisak is the voice actor for the characters 'Razer' [GLTAS] and 'Wally West' [YJ].
I recently posted that "Razer and Wally: don't give up" comic, and it's been very well-received on Tumblr. [I think it has 1,500 notes now?!?] I made the comic to boost the morale of the fandoms and encourage them to keep contacting Warner Bros., Cartoon Network, and DC Comics. Yesterday, though, my comic got taken to entirely different level:
Jason Spisak narrated the dialogue from it.
It is an incredible honor, and I am so pleased that he took the time to do this for the fans! His work has been an inspiration to many of us, and this little gift brought so much joy and hope. Please check it out!

Mini Character Design interviewSomeone that is working toward her thesis in Character Design asked me for a mini interview.  Here's the interview, for those who are interested:
When did you start with character design and what motivated you?
WHEN I WENT TO CALARTS, ONE OF THE CLASSES I HAD WAS A "CHARACTER DESIGN" CLASS.  MIKE GIAMO, WHO IS A GREAT TALENT, TAUGHT IT.  I HAD ALWAYS LOVED DRAWING CHARACTERS AND MAKING UP MY OWN, BUT SOME OF THE PRINCIPLES OF DESIGN HE TAUGHT US REALLY OPENED MY EYES TO HOW MUCH MORE I NEEDED TO LEARN.  I GOT HOOKED IN THAT CLASS, BUT IT WASN'T UNTIL YEARS LATER, WHILE AT DISNEY ANIMATION, THAT I STARTED TO ACTUALLY DO CHARACTER DESIGN PROFESSIONALLY.
What are your main resources for inspiration?

Thank you for posting a link to your tumblr. I'm happy to hear that you're not completely giving up on dA (I love viewing your beautiful work on this site!), but I can understand your frustrations.

I feel like I constantly miss your commission sign-ups, and I am a little desperate, at this point. Sorry, I am just such a fan of your work. I totally understand that you're an in-demand artist (as you should be), but is there any way to order a commission from you without having to wait for your quarterly sign-ups?

I'm not sure if it would help, but I have purchased art from Otis Frampton on here, and I would most definitely pay like prices for a two-character colored piece. Your work is most definitely worth a steeper price.
